Default Too late in Zone 7 to transplant basjoo?

Hey folks! Long time, no chat!

I have to dig up two big clumps of basjoo. I'm pretty sure I can just move them to a new spot even though it's October 7, but thought I would get other opinions. I've never lost a single plant, regardless of how I winterize, yet I'm not 100% sure it can get a good root structure going before winter.
