Default Re: How to awaken Bare root Orinoco?

I put them outside when temperature are about 17°C max and 10°C min, that temps usually arrive about two weeks before the last frost so if forecast is good, I plant them without any particular care.
Just stick them in the ground, of course it's better if you ameliorate the soil. I do think that cool damp climate makes everything more difficult for the corm, so I try to plant them when the weather is dry. And I water them with water that I have left in black drums exposed to the sun, so it's a bit hotter that ambiente temperature water. I leave them on the dry side however, at least till high temperatures kicks in. April here is pretty rainy and natural rain is actually a lot, sometimes too much.
I never propped them because as far as i know, they will start growing again once they will have rebuilt all their roots, so when you will see the first leaf, they will be well-anchored to the ground. That's all.
