Default Winter banana surprise

Hello ya’ll,

While I was cleaning out my flower beds over the weekend, I was surprised by a banana bunch. Yep. Out of the blue - boom. Bananas. I was not expecting this. I had pretty much written the grove off for the winter. I did nothing to winterize at all. However, it has been somewhat mild here. Hope they do ok. As you can see, the only green on the plant is the p’stem. We shall see. I think the are M. basjoo. The p'stems get between 12-15 feet.

This is what I saw when I looked up.

These are closer shots of the bananas.

Just thought I would share. Enjoy.
Looking forward to a good season.
