That I understand, but I was thinking in terms of being clones of each other. Like a DB is basically a clone of other DBs out there. So I guess when they're getting the pollen from any one, it's basically getting a random mix of 50% of that types DNA. I know next to nothing about plant breeding, and have only read summaries of how bananas are bred. So I guess I was thinking a banana cultivar is more like a fertilized egg, and that it would be the same no matter how many times it splits.
