Hi Justin,
your mass processing of seedlings made me think, that you might be able to use an
idea, I had recently, providing you can get juice in this type of container in the US:

The volume is one litre and when cut in half, you get two containers of >one pint each.
But here is the real clincher: Twenty of these “pots” fit snugly into your standard garden
centre tray. Efficient, no gaps, and wasted space, as you would have with round pots.
Unfortunately I have so far not been able to collect nearly enough empties to accommodate
all of my 33 quat seedlings:

It is not evident from this photo, but the little boxes contain much more soil than the
round pots and I can fit 8 of them, where there are now only 5 pots.
The quat are relatively slow growers and I can keep them in these boxes all summer
long on automatic sprinkler.
