Default Re: gros michel and gran nain

Pitangadiego has fruited Cocos (dwarf Gros Michel) and some Cavendishes outdoors in San Diego. Not sure if Grand Nain was one of the Cavendishes, but I think so.

Venturabananas has tasted some of the fruit from that Cocos mat, and iirc he said he "wouldn't even describe it as good." The environmental conditions probably bear much of the blame for the disappointing fruit, since GM's are especially sensitive to cold weather.
