Our blooming bananas are in thee ground. We can't tell you what kind of bananas are that is blooming, but the trunk (pseudostem) is huge.
This is the second year they have been in the ground. The first one bloomed on a smaller plant that looked like it was almost gone. We didn't expect those bananas would make it.
However, the one in bloom now, it is way to huge to move inside. If the bananas make good, if not maybe we can learn some kind of tricks to help us out for the next bloom.
I'll try to get pictures of it later today or tomorrow morning.
But thanks again to you (and everyone else) for the gran nain welcome!

Ice Cream, Raja Puri, Gran Nain, Williams, Cavendish, Mekong giant, Basjoo, Double Mahoi, Ensete Snow, Viente Cohol, Saba, FHIA-3 Sweetheart, Thousand Finger, and one BIG mystery Banana.
