I will probably divvy it up among my wife's relatives, and then there are about 5 others wanting to try it. It's odd that I should have this one; my wife is a direct descendent of the chief from the area where Kamehameha was born in Kohala, on the island of Hawaii. They would have actually been permitted to grow this banana if they had lived back then.

My wife will probably use it as a 'cooking' banana, but I'd like to try at least one ripe un-cooked one as a comparison. Of course, at this stage I have little idea how large the bunch would be. I wouldn't expect much since it is the first one to fruit from that batch.
