I am only trying for one more year too. I am getting 2 Velutina banana plants because they only grow 8 feet tall. I will keep them inside near the furnace in winter and I won't water them or fertilize them till spring. If they droop too much I may give them a very little water. If they don't stay alive there are other plants I can grow. I wish us both luck.
