There is a pair of birds that watches me quite closely when I work in the garden. Sometimes I have to watch were I put my feet because when I use a rake or a hoe they are often between my feet looking for critters to snack on. I've even see the female (pictured here) eat a centipede!
When in a good mood, the male has quite a complex song. Otherwise, they both just use a clicking-like sound. They never seem afraid.
