They are very easy to grow from seed. I have not done so personally, but I hear that they have a great germination rate! Dont grow them for the fruit, you will be disappointed, however, it will fruit in a matter of 2 years from seed and its pretty cold tolerant too! In a zone 9, it will survive the winter and probably fruit at about 4-8 feet tall. They fruit at taller heights as they age.
