I just remembered what the necrosis you were getting on your Gros Michelle might be,it can be Potassium deficiency as this deficiency doesnt affect the opening leafs but it affects the leafs afterwards. In other words,some fertilizer might help

Does your Mysore open leafs with colored underside? In the picture the underside seems plain whitish green. The colored underside of the leafs is a characteristic of Mysore and if it doesnt have it,it probably is something else.
