Default Re: Variegated Musa "Florida"

The fruits had ripen and been munched by squirrels as we speak, but i'm having problems with my camera. I'll try to salvage what I can. It does not look like a variety that has great shelf life though.

Yes, this is the first time that this variety had successfully fruited for me. The fruits are not seedy. I am aware that there are sellers on eBay selling seeds that even have photos of variegated seedlings to prove their claims, but I can find none on mine.

Here are photos of 2 other plants that did not quite make it (seems like trimming is mandatory to get the fruits successfully developed).

One of my contacts had sent a better photo of a fruiting bunch that came from a (seemingly defunct) website of a local nursery that had them a while back. I don't think that I can post it here since I don't even know the owners of the photo, but I would be glad to send them through email.

The fruits from that photo and the ones I have look very similar to all those Ae Ae/Florida that are advertised by Thai nurseries (atgtree.com, kingadenium.com, bkinterplants etc), which looks different from the fruits of Ae Ae in the States.

p/s: can anybody help me source an Ae Ae pup?
