Default Re: Spacing for a banana garden?

Charles ----------- Don't remember if we talked about this last nite but 8' spacing is the minimum for limited space to grow naners. I ran my mats in a straight line, 8' apart, down the backyard 100' fence mainly cause of the irrigation.

This setup allows me to plant garden veggs between the naners as well. Most veggs need filtered lite due to the intense sun light we get here in PSL, Fl.

With more room I would go 12' between mats and run 2 main pstems a year.
