Joy Re: What's blooming in your garden? (bananas)

Hi!

Yesterday I got photos from the brother of my guest daughter, he took photos in my yard in Brazil. Two Musa ‘Nanica’ are now flowering and fruits for the first time!

Musa ‘Nanica’ with fruits at the side of the pond, it does fruit because of the higher groundwater level there!

Closer view of the fruits.

Musa ‘Nanica’ with inmature fruits in the group near of the vegetable garden of my housekeeper. Late July or August I will harvest. The secret of the success despite of the sandy soil is much horse manure, much water and half shadow!

Closer view of the inflorescence.

I also planted heliconias and Musa velutina in November, they are now grown on.

Best wishes
