Thanks. I did try that and they still seemed to want to flag in August or September anyway. Also, I had major squirrel problems; rascals actually KILLED a couple of plants completely by chewing to the nub every new leaf that tried to come up on my plants. I completely solved the squirrel problem, but still unable to defeat the short-season issue at this point. If we'd ever get a freaky year where it stayed relatively warm and didn't freeze over winter, I'd probably make it.
