They also reckon the long term forecast is for yet another coldy winter. I had a nasty feeling that the volcano in Iceland coupled with where we are in the sunspot cycle would mean we were in for it.

There are many more factors that alter the climate in your area even more, but the long time record shows that every Iceland volcano eruption means a very hot summer and a very cold winter in the UK.
It should be similar for a good part of Europe as well... and that's what puzzles me. A record warm November? WTH?
