Default Re: Any interesting bananas in Bali?

Beautiful place! You'll have to hunt around the local markets. The markets in the villages in the central mountains of the road to Kuta going to North Bali was interesting. Lots of local markets on the way.

We didn't get a chance to go to east Bali or west Bali. We heard most of the Arak (local palm liquor) and palm sugar is made in east Bali.

What I noticed was the types of bananas changed from Kuta to the mountains. There were lots of "mountain bananas" (pardon the creative liberty) on the sides of the road.
