Yeah, I have explained a few times to a local friend who avoids the Internet like the plague. He once said "I won't have anything to do with the Internet, it's so impersonal". I've told him about some of the very close friends I've known mostly through the Internet, including a friend who I met in person for the first time when he attended my mother's funeral.
