Well, just general forum netiquette is to always read the complete thread/responses before posting. That way you know what is being discussed, what answers have been provided and where the discussion has gone. Otherwise, you might ask something that has been answered right above your post. I've seen it a million times before.
This is kinda intimidating when you are new to a forum since all the threads are a billion pages long and it takes a lot of reading to know what's happening...but once you've been there a while, it's not much to keep up with it.
