I'm a banana fiend because since end of Oct., I mark on calendar when a new leaf comes up (5 since then!) & then I stand on chair to look inside for another.

Me...? I gotta be one cos I have at least 100+ 'naner seedlings in my house, located in my garden and outside the balcony of my room, boxes and boxes of musa seeds in germination, bags and bags of seeds of various species in my fridge and on my work table, a few hundred 'naner plants in my nursery....... Can't get worse, rite....? :ha:

We have the big glass domes here..one is desert, one tropical & ? (I forgot LOL). I was there 15-20 yrs ago & there was a HUGE banana tree in the tropical one. I now want to go back again to see if there's another - I'll appreciate it more now. That's about all I care to see there! ;-)

#142 Every time you buy a banana, you have to tell everyone else in the store that you grow bananas, too. Then proceed to identify several other varieties that are good eating........

#143 If you planted all of the seeds you have, it would fill a greenhouse the size of a football stadium to plant them all. (Hey what a great idea, like the Cowboys stadium in Texas, it has a dome that opens and closes, just need to tweek the humidity controls, haul in some soil and away we go.)

when you talk to the produce manager and ask them when they are gonna get the red nana minis in and he says," they dont make red nanas.....and you have to educate him on all the colored nanas "they" make. and he gets this paronid look on his face when you tell him there IS a such thing as a stripped green and white banana.

Today we got the large step ladder out & I climbed it to see if a new leaf is coming out & there is about 3 inches of the curly end showing of new leaf...up about 13 ft. WOOHOO
#140 says a chair but now it's a BIG ladder.

The pained expression relaxes, you slowly let yourself to the ground seated in a lotus position...then in a deep thought...chin lowered... both hands touches the ground on your sides...feeling the the slightest vibration beyond human capabilities...you whisper in a rasp tone..."Yes, two pups, one with 2 leaves, the other just one...wait...another pup just breaking the corm...."

Ok, I am done for now. All this close eyes, meditation, touching ground stuff is extremely tiring for me...The next time I go into the field and I sense anything else, I will update k.... Meanwhile, don't try any of the above cos not that it's bad for your health, people will think worse of you being 'naners as it already is! :ha::ha:

If you drive from Illinois to Nevada with the front and back seats filled with 26 banana plants and had no room for your other belongings, except the things that fit in the trunk. Then you give them bottled water at rest stops, park so they will be in the shade and leave your windows up while driving so that the leaves are not hurt.
