i have found huge fossil snails here in ontario canada
the biggest one found(in the world) is 26 cm i have found one around 20 cm
the species is called: Maclurina manitobensis
they are from the Ordovician period

until looking at youre photo i never gave much thought to the size of the living part of the snail when it existed all those years ago
