The diversity of ideas and beliefs people hold never ceases to amaze me.
As I wander the internet, heading in no particular direction, I often stumble across unusual topics. One search gone awry leads to 250 pages of reading on a topic that I never would have imagined existed. Everywhere you go people are fanatical about their particular hobby. Brewing, cars, electronics, plants, moon rocks, flashlights...etc. Tons of people who are experts in their field, yet would rarely discuss their obsessions with those IRL because no one else cares. I'm a recovering flashaholic. I'm currently endulging my musaholism. What are you? What is the most unusual internet subculture you have encountered? Links? (keep it clean here)

Your most eloquent post this week sir !!
![]() CandlePowerForums it goes on and on I've built a dozen or more hotwires with Osram bulbs up to 150w driven up to 19v (overdriven) producing up to 7000-ish lumens in a 6DMag. I've also done aspherical Mags with XL-M andd SST90 this clearly details the madness 50 inch Reflector "Monster Light" Check out LuxLuthors destructive testing thread, then go price check those bulbs.

Bronies and the like are the strongest evidence I see for the discontinuation of use of endocrine disrupting chemicals.
. . Here is something you ARE. . Take the time to read it. Most of it may seem utterly strange at first but I promise the claims made are 100% accurate. This IS catching on and is a wonderful example of knowledge nearly impossible to gain without the internet. Power to the poeple ![]() Girls are protected under current mutilation laws while boys are hung out to dry LITERALLY. Intact adult men who have had circumcision at the suggestion of their doctors are nearly universally displeased and more often infuriated with the undisclosed consequences. Rooted in religious tradition, circumcision became popular in America because doctors believed it would cure masturbation. Even after masturbation hysteria passed, forced circumcision increased during the World Wars, when soldiers were circumcised for "hygienic reasons." "Every reason to cut the genitals – particularly of children – has proven invalid," says Marilyn Milos, a registered nurse from San Anselmo, California, who runs the National Organization of Circumcising Information Resource Centers. "Not one medical organization in the world recommends circumcision, and some have begun warning against it." Researchers have dispelled most of the justifications of circumcision – including that foreskin causes penile and cervical cancers or increases the risk of AIDS – yet circumcision is so embedded in American culture that the procedure's unnecessary pain is still overlooked. "It doesn't take long to talk a man back into his foreskin," Milos says. "Ask, 'Why would you want to allow someone to amputate 20,000 to 40,000 nerve endings that provide you with wonderful, pleasurable sensations and replace them with a scar?' Men under stand immediately." "The part of the male that is exposed after circumcision is really an internal organ just like the clitoris – it's not supposed to be exposed to the world," Griffiths says. "When you expose these nerves over a period of time, they get irritated and calloused. When a circumcised man reaches middle age, he has very few nerve endings left to stimulate." Restored foreskin provides the protection and lubrication circumcised men may be missing. look at all the organizations ! NORM - Links here is a huge list of methods/devices Foreskin Restoration Methods and Devices | Restoring Foreskin.org Don't get scared off by the crazy looking contraptions. Manual tugging is free and effective. The YOUR SKIN CONE is inexpensive or readily home made with silicone. google says fr devices - Google Search IMHO mutilation for religious purposes should be completely eradicated and the proponents summarily executed. If GOD wanted you to have a foreskin you would have been born with one. LOL

Did you ever watched shows like "buried alive" or "hoarders",showing people that burry their houses with stuff,or collect so many animals that their house looks like a zoo? Well I am mostly like them, only I collect plants, and I mean ALL of them. The fact that I recently started intresting in musas doesn't contribute at all,as they demand even more space."Buried alive, plant hoarder"-that's me...MWH...MWAHAHAHA

Most of the subcultures seem to deal with eroticism...and there are some strange things out there (plushies/furrys and "Pony Play" comes to mind). Most of what I search for involve plants so that is mostly what I come into contact with...but I once did a search for something involving canna lilies and hit a link involving "canna" as "cannibus" as in Marijuanna. Well, it is AMAZING (yet really not uncommon) how much people put into growing pot. Compared to people growing bananas and cold hardy palms it is amazing what levels pot growers are willing to go through with different fertilizers for every WEEK of growth...but it's all about money, eh?
Here's a good link and no matter what you grow, you might be able to glean some good info here: https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=40637 Last edited by RobG7aChattTN : 10-13-2012 at 09:07 PM. Reason: added link. |
