This way he will get whole front yard in one peace and will use space much better than with walkway devideing it in half.

Well they managed to do the one no no when pouring concrete. Not enough slope away from house. Now I have a low spot near the door. They are trying everything except to admit they messed up.

Fianally finished scraping the whole house and garage with a putty knife. If the concrete contractor hadpoured the porch right, stucco would be going on starting Monday. Now I have to fight with the concrete contractor to fix his work

I had a contractor once threaten to kick my head off (he was a self-acclaimed martial arts master). Didn't happen!!!

Well this guy admits his mistakes .but doesn't want to fix them.He wants me to find someone to fix the porch and pay him the difference. The problem is no one so far says it can be fixed without total redo. This would cost more than the original price.

HE changed his mind about a free porch. Now he is saying that there is some value in what he did. I am trying to find someone who can remove the top and save the footing, the problem is it was a monolithic pour.

From my naive perspective, I would have someone from a reliable concrete cutting and coring company come out and give an estimate on demolition of the top. Check the BBB (Better Business Bureau) listings.

That is what I have been doing. The guy that poured it had A+ rating with BBB. What bothers me the most is he should be finding the solution. He thinks his time is worth more than mine.

How about tiling the top surface? That way it can be leveled before laying the tile.

Well if he hadn't poured it so high that would be an option. As it is it needs to be ground or cut to get it low enough for tile. Thanks
