The ISS will be making Christmas cameos the next week across the Northern hemisphere.
This will be the states and Canada.
Easy to see and it has a huge foot print.

Do a space station search and see when it will be visible in your area.

Hey, I got a question for you! Did anybody see the aurora borealis in the last couple of days? I missed it!

That's why my wife gave it to me early!! We managed to get them both in the same shot tonight but they went down pretty quick. It was cool. I think we'll be cloudy tomorrow and Monday. It's a cool toy. I already want a better one.

Yeah, we have clear skies here too. If you get out early enough, Mars is the red dot to the left. Tonight is the closest, and they say this is the first time in 800 molly flogging years! I'll try to stay up long enough to get out and see it. I'm usually up around 3A so I turn in early, but since this is also the shortest day of the year, I may see it before I turn in tonight.

We don't get it this far south, but I used to see them all the time as a kid. I've seen them in WI bight green and bright enough to read by. Also the rare occasion where they were so low that you could hear them crackling. That's effing creepy! It sounds like power lines humming, sorta, but with a crackling noise.

I think it's just over 300x. Not a baller but it's fun to play with. If the bug bites me I'll climb the ladder.

You actually got to see it before! Pretty cool! I never have yet! They were really that bright green & really that bright! Wow! I would have never thought it would make any kind of noise! It sounds like crackling! So weird! Yeah that does sound really creepy and freaky! Thanks for sharing that story with me!

Thanks Cinci! We were supposed to be rained out and it turned out crystal. Just went behind the trees but we got all of it. Damn I wish I had a camera setup but I've seen pics and it's not the same. I am fortunate that my wife knows me so well.

We went with the Belle Glos. Eulenloch, for the occasion. Never know when you're going to get rear ended.
