It's March already and what do I get? The coldest day of the year! The maples are blooming along with the azaleas and it's 42 degrees at 4:30 in the afternoon. I just stepped outside and the north wind is howling and giving us a windchill factor of 34 degrees.

The coldest day of the year in March. Tonight we expect lows in the upper 20's.

I hate cold weather!

Every time it gets cold I think of Nicolas way down there in Florida and in my minds eye picture him in shirt sleeves lounging around sipping pina coladas.

Like I said, I hate cold weather!

Just had to vent a little

I think we are gonna start looking at places down there in Florida, looks like some really good prices on houses and property, I always wonder how much better things would grow just a little further south.

I would be satisfied just with States, wouldnt bother much with North or South.

At this point zone 9 is the garden of Eden. May 20 is our last frost date. I know lots have even less summer. I Guess we gotsta just make do!

I was promoting palm beach agriculture today as part of my farm bureau board member duties. I had long pants and short sleeves. And strangely enough I was at a pineapple themed celebration. No piña coladas, but we did have pineapple smoothies sans alcohol since it was a family event.

It was chilly for me. The high today was a 58 degrees We have had a steady west wind today that gusted to 32. I was kind of wishing I was up in the mountains near Naguabo sitting in a one of the waterfall pools.

I live in Florida just north of Tampa It is now 32 degrees at 6:00 A.M. Was cold Saturday, yesterday, and will be again today.I hate winter. But then summers in Florida are very hot and humid.

Yeah, I'm getting reports from home that a lot of my plants have some leaf burn but hoping I won't have to cut them back too bad when I get home in April. Glad I didn't get my wife to unwrap everything last week. I hope this is the last of the bad frost

Here in Citrus county ( zone 9 ) it dropped into the high 20's but we managed to stray just above freezing. Right now it is beautiful outside, still cold but the wind has layed down so it is going to be a nice day. Nice day if one considers removing and folding sheets and blankets that covered most of the plants as a nice day. The tender plants are inside so they will get moved outsided to resume their daily sun bathing. Hopefully most of us have seen the last cold spell, feel sorry for those who will enjoy more low temps.

Sorry for the weather in the States. I came to Costa Rica but am originally from Colorado. Now I never have to worry about weather below 60 degrees or shoveling snow. Check out the weather here just below.

It is pretty windy this time of year but I can deal with that.

Last year we had the winter that wasn't...just got thru with a two day snow..9" here enough already Sat we are to get freezing rain and then plain rain...maybe 40 degrees...Spring,,bring it on!!!

jj --- our local supermarkets carry original Leinie now and a few others. I like classic amber too. Gotta look around for the others. One of the very best craft beer brewers in the USA is Leinenkugel. You betcha!

Not ready to move to zone 4a yet though. lol
