Info on obtaining a plant patent?

Okay, I'm in the early stages of trying to find out what it will take for me to patent two new pepper varieties. One is ready to go, thanks to some native honeybees that left some unrequested hot pollen last year, but needs to be propagated for a few years to get enough seed to have a substantial source to offer. The other has the first cross complete, but will need next year to make the second one for the final cultivar.

So, how do I proceed? Is there a DNA test I can have done to find the parent plants to name the new cultivar? Once that's clear, how do I get a patent and trademark for the common name, and any idea how much it will cost to make this all happen? Then, how in the heck do I market my new peppers for licensing? :confused:
