Thank you too for editing my age Bob...I could have killed you for posting it. :eek: JaNan, just forget you saw it because I'm 29 forever!!! :08: I thought I'd share some of my plans... Today I'm going out for Chinese lunch with my mom at my favorite Chinese restaurant. Then likely shopping. :D Tonight I think my girlfriends will show up and will want to take me out for a birthday drink (or two :ha:), but not sure of thier plans for me just yet. My one girlfriend called last night and was acting pretty secretive. Here's my dairy queen ice cream cake, although it got slightly smudged...   My aunt from Nova Scotia called me early this morning and we chatted for a half hour. It was so nice. She sang happy birthday to me! She's totally into gardening like me. Here are the gifts I bought myself for my birthday...   I also got these nice solar LED garden lights too...   What a nice person I am to buy such nice gifts for someone so special! :ha::ha::ha: Anyway thanks for the thread and I'll be sure to pop back in a little later... : ) |

A gazillion thank yous for such great posts and thoughtful inspiring words. I sure appreciate it and hope you guys know it. ;) Speaking of appreciation... Thanks for the phone call earlier tonight, Bob! :nanablowskisses: It was sure nice chatting with you...about all the grey hair you've got coming in! :ha: No but seriously, thanks for the call. I was jealous to hear about your new dwarf apple trees. Why you!  Ok everyone, here's a laugh... So you remember the small heart shaped cake I posted earlier in this thread...I chose the smaller one for my mom and I to share so I could enjoy a couple pieces of cake, but not pack on a bunch of extra unwanted weight. Plus I knew I was going out for Chinese food... So anyway, I'll say I was surprised when my girlfriends showed up with the hugest friggin' cake ever...another heart shaped ice cream cake from Dairy Queen!!! :eek:  They laughed when I showed them the one I already had! The only difference was theirs read "Sherr" and mine read "Sherry". I now have a freezer full of ice cream cake and they wouldn't even take any home with them...and my mom has had enough! :eek: Looks like I'll be eating cake until next week! I just hope I don't look like a cake, come Spring!!! :ha: Pretty cute one though, and colorful. :D The other part of their gift is illegal and cannot be mentioned nor shown here! :ha: Here's a small gift I can show though...  Had a pretty good night...we went out for a birthday toast, but will likely do our real celebrating this weekend. Sucks when birthdays fall through the week. The truth is I've turned 29 several times over, but I like to imagine that I still am and will be forever! :ha: Thanks for the great thread you guys. So cool that you thought of me like this. ;) Oh and I forgot to mention another thing I did today...had tea my mom made and served me in her bone china...  Cheers! :03: : ) |

Jack... Too hilarious! :ha: You know, when I was little I used to love the smurfs and would watch them every Saturday morning without fail. I don't hate you, so don't worry. It actually brought back some very pleasant childhood memories for me, so thanks. ;) Cool that you finally posted. I was wondering what was up with that...since we're such great pals and all.  Well, I'm officially another year older...but no wrinkles just yet. I actually still get ID'ed so I look a lot younger than I am. 29 forever! Does anyone want some ice cream cake? I could send it on dry ice! :ha: I just can't believe how much of it I have. It's insane is what it is. Too ridiculous Jack, about the address thing. Never thought of that...but I really do look like I'm in my 20's even though I'm in my 30's. Sure not complaining either. ;)
I was actually referring to getting ID'ed at variety stores anyway, trying to buy a lighter or some matches! :ha: I'd be more worried about being stalked online than in person. There's more whackos on the internet than anywhere else...because they can hide behind their keyboards and harass people. :eek: Then again, I've known a few weirdos in life too, so you never know. If you were closer Jack, I'd invite you over for some of this ice cream cake. :D In fact there's enough that everyone in this thread could have some! :ha: The smurf video really was hilarious, but of course I couldn't understand the song. I just knew it was about enthusiastically wishing me a very happy birthday. I thought it was cute. Neat that I used to love the smurfs too. Bob tells me he still does and rushes home from work to catch the last half hour each day. So anyway, thanks for the tune Jack. Hilarious that it was a hit though! :eek: : ) |

That's the reason why I bought the smaller cake Cam, was so I wouldn't gain weight...but then my friends show up with a huge honkin' thing fit for a party! It's totally insane. :ha:
I had a slice this afternoon, but it seems like there's still as much as ever. I think it might keep for awhile so I'm gonna take a break from it for a day or two. Going out tomorrow night to do some more birthday celebrating with the girls. :birthdaynana: We're gonna go see a live band play and have a couple drinks. :bananas_b My one girlfriend of course will be there to hit on men. :ha: Anyway, it's been a pretty good one this year and I've enjoyed it. Not really a big drinker so I know I won't be hammered, but might have a couple drinks to celebrate. :bananas_b That's the thing...I don't usually get ID'ed going to bars, but buying a lighter or matches for my candles at variety stores, I do! :eek: It's ridiculous is what it is, but I just laugh and say thank you as I show them my ID. I take it as a total compliment. So yeah, I'll likely be going out around 8-ish but the girls will show up here much earlier. I've known them both since we were kids so we've been friends for many years. My one friend is man-crazy though and likes to flirt with pretty much...everyone! :ha: It should be a good night hopefully. I gotta go pick up some stuff at the store this morning, but shouldn't be gone too long. It's a yucky grey day out there, but milder than it's been. So how's this for cool... I became an aunt at the age of 14, and my young nephew now has a daughter of his own, and she was born just a few days ago, on my birthday!!! :birthdaynana: How cool is that?! I was shocked to hear the news and thought it was way too amazing that my great niece was born on my birthday. What's even more shocking is that the mother's bithday is the 16th of February too! She had her first baby on her own birthday...and mine too! :eek: Isn't that way too unbelievable, and a shocking coincidence?! :D Not sure what to make of it, but I like it. So I went and ran some errands and just got back not too long ago. The girls will be here about 6:30 or 7:00 ish. Think we might go out and grab a bite to eat somewhere before we got to the bar. :bananas_b : ) |
