When I first arrived at the cottage I bought this decorative bowl of succulents...
![]() It's grown considerably since then! I also have a thing for these living stones and would someday like to have a pot full of many different colored types... ![]() : ) |

Thanks
They are pretty cute aren't they ![]() The dorstenia make these funky flowers shaped like stars/shields and then shoot the seeds up to two meters away from the plant! Wouldn't it be funny if they where motion activated ![]()

Yes that would be funny. Are the flowers thorny or stickery? I am looking at pictures on Google now.

I was just introduced into the world of dorstenias. So I haven't gotten any flowers yet, so I can't answer your questions yet.
Yes, those do look like a grove of palm trees! Pretty cool ![]() Plant's can grow in weird ways and shapes can't they... ![]()

Wow Jordan those look great! The plant that you got from ShearMe is Drimiopsis kirkii. I got the same plant from him last year. I had someone ID it for me last year because it looked much different from my Pregnant onion plant. I think the common name is Giant Squill

Janan, you sent me some spoon tomatoe seeds, but no micro toms. And yes, the haworthia I posted the picture of is the one you sent me
It is doing pretty good. The only thing that didn't make it was the little prince banana. It didn't like the cold weather we where having. The now mystery plants (what I called pregnant onions) kind of look like the Drimiopsis kirkii. But they aren't quite as speckled and they are growing a bit differently then what that plant looks like. I am not saying these aren't, but for now I might just let them grow then worry about it later. Them only having a couple leaves makes it hard to ID them. I just did the trade earlier this year and was told they where pregnant onions, but I have never seen a speckled pregnant onion either. Maybe after a couple more months of growth they will looks like something and then we will know for sure. They are starting to root nicely and should start growing faster now. It took them quite a while to even make roots. Yes Janan, I think the same thing then see people with jungles Not everyone has that much room though ![]()

Mine was neglected through winter and I put it outdoors and forgot about it. I set it behind some large containers and when I was moving them around I noticed it had produced 2 babies. I was so happy, but it seems like its a slow grower. The babies caught up with the mother plant lol

I bought a new one the other day. It is called a butterfly Agave (Agave potatorum). This stays relatively small and the one I bought is already pupping!:
