I know this is a strange request but I'm looking for bulbs / tubers for the eastern skunk cabbage. Anyone know where I can get?

Thanks

I wish I could help you. I know of a very large patch of your beloved Skunk Cabbages that grow wild in Montgomery County, MD; However, I now reside in Southern California.
Best of luck!

Hello again!
In the event you are unable to locate the Skunk Cabbage for sale, I'd like to share with you where to "hunt" for them.
Skunk Cabbage prefer fairly strong filtered light and grow near sources of water. So, if you are able to go out into the woods, stay near the area described above. They can also be found on the periphery of woods, again, near a natural supply of water --- near creeks, streams, or small bodies of water or somewhat swampy areas.
They begin to show their tops in late March (in Maryland) before most other forest plants around them grow, so look for emerald green clumps or swathes of them. They are fairly good sized even as they emerge from dormancy as they grow quite vigorously.
Depending on where you reside, Springtime may be a little different in your area, but there is NO mistaking them once you discover them! You will, of course, smell them, probably before you see them, particularly if they have been damaged by animals. Their habitat is the same as most ferns, and they prefer the acid soils of forests, but NOT in deep shaded areas.
Best of luck!

Gone Bananas!

Thanks Mark, unfortunately I'm on the west coast in Canada where we do have a native species - Lysichiton americanus aka yellow skunk cabbage - which is very abundant here and easy to find.
If you do come across anyone with the eastern skunk cabbage plant it would be much appreciate
