Great Job, JaNan. Do post some pictures when they bloom. Snow Queen hibiscus appreas to have different-colored varigated leaves when I check Google images. I'd like to see what yours look like.

Brad I don't. The one I have pictured is my first and only white. I really liked this one on eBay, it may be the one you are talking about.

WHITE HAWAIIAN HIBISCUS PLANT--Fragrant-- RARE VARIETY - eBay (item 320498569999 end time Mar-14-10 19:00:53 PDT)

I also like the pure white on white like this rose of sharon:

3 Rose of Sharon (Hardy Hibiscus) Shrubs. In 3 Colors! - eBay (item 250515363077 end time Mar-15-10 PDT)

Red face Re: A Hibiscus A Day....

JaNan, if you get some seeds from your White Wing Hibiscus, can I be first on your wait list to get them? Its white flowers with the bold red center are very eye-catching.

Sure Rae! This may be a hybrid which may not be seed true though. How are you with cuttings? I'd love to swap a cutting for cutting of your avatar hibiscus. (Is it a Texas Star? )

Migael I believe there are zone 7 "hardy" Hibiscus but most of the fancy colored ones are "tropical" hibiscus and are only hardy to zone 10. I am not an expert like some of the other members like John, Howard, and Cheryl, but thought I would try to answer for you.

Wow Brad 40!!!! That's a lot. Do you take cuttings and root or what?

This is my favorite right now! Warning, I am fickle though!

Peek A Boo! The leaves are such a dark green on this - I like the contrast.

While I am not sure on the low temp-ed ones are, I know that there are such a wide variety of hibiscus that can make it into Zone 6 & survive!

Nice Hibs Sunfish!! Yours too Janan!! ~Cheryl
