Default Don't hit me but I found something at

Walmart yesterday when I was down in Cocoa: a 1 gallon variegated pink lemon for $12.98. It was not an impulse purchase; I went back to where I was staying to verify that it was hardy to my zone. When I returned, there was only 1; I couldn't resist. The leaves are gorgeous so, even if it never fruits, I'll enjoy the foliage.

I need to find my camera cord and for it not to be dark; it's just a plant in a pot but I think it's very pretty.

I also have (I hope) a couple of pictures of a very tall mystery banana I came across when buying some spare seedlings from a fellow gardener; I could probably have a pup off of it without much problem if worthwhile. (She had no idea there was a banana in the hedgerow until I pointed it out which is 1 reason I'm not sure how good my pictures are--it was very well hidden amongst a palm or 2 and some other equally tall plants so I was balancing a bit.) Same lady has a new lady finger plant which needs water and probably more; I told her about the forum and I'll bet she'll join.

I have one of those.

I also saw one at the Leu Botanical Gardens, in Orlando. The sign, net to it at Leu, said that the fruit is also variegated, and the flesh is pink, used to make pink lemonade.

From what I read the juice is the same color as regular lemons; I'd rather it be pink. I read up on pink lemonade history; I hope the story of the vat of red dye was never true. Yes, the fruit is supposedly variegated until ripe then it's plain old yellow (this is a Eureka sport) with a pink blush. But even if you add food coloring to achieve the pink drink, a slice of one on the glass rim or floating in a punch bowl would be really neat.
