Seeds in the tires seem to be doing better than the hill planted seeds, hummm maybe the tire holds the heat better?
Or maybe rubber is a good fertilizer for Jack-O-Lanterns lol

Why sure! I've already harvested the majority of my pumpkins. I grew Long Island Cheese pumpkin, Musquee du Provence pumpkin, a volunteer butternut, and a volunteer small pie pumpkin. The LIC pumpkin grew prolifically and produced nearly all my fruit. The MDP didn't produce a single fruit. All the little MDP fruitlets fell off before they ever developed. I thought pollination might be an issue, so I even started hand pollinating. No luck. The volunteer butternut is producing huge fruit, but the plant seems incapable of producing more than one fruit at a time. I've harvested 2 already and one is on the way. I probably won't get any more pumpkins. Between deluges, heat waves, and powdery mildew, my poor little vines look like someone set a match to them. Any suggestions?
