Re: Patty in Wisc
I just checked with a friend of hers and it is our Patty and it is true. I am posting this with a heavy heart.
Patty was very supportive of me while my husband was overseas and always sent me uplifting and funny email to cheer me up. I know I am not alone when I say we will miss her. RIP Patty :giveflowersnana: ~JaNan |

Re: Patty in Wisc
Just saw this on Facebook. Very sad, indeed. Does anyone know if she'd been sick or was this sudden? My prayers are with her family.

Re: Patty in Wisc
Gina posted on the citrus forum that she had a blood pressure problem.

Re: Patty in Wisc
I messaged her mother? old friend? on FB and offered to post any message she or Mike might want to share with us.

This is a true shocker. Seems like it's always the exceptional folks here who we lose. May her memory be a blessing.

Re: Patty in Wisc
This came as quite a shock when I heard it this morning. I'm still feeling that way. Here's me , Patty and Mike from almost exactly a year ago when they stopped by on their way home from Vermont.

Re: Patty in Wisc
OMG I am so sad, I was going to shoot her an email today because I had not heard from her in a bit, she was a good friend and even though we never met, she was the best. I am shocked. She helpedme with lots of growing and encouraged me along the way, with both the bananas and citrus.

Re: Patty in Wisc
Wow, this is a sad surprise. She was a friend and a source of motivation, crazier than even me in growing things such as bananas and pitaya in the cold climate of Wisconsin. She was very generous and a fun person to read e-mails and posts from and will be missed. I pray that she is some place even nicer!

How ironic last night I was reading in the past and came upon this post by Patty from 2009. She went on to say some of her wines are 18% alcohol. After reading this I ventured over to the citrus forum and found the post saying she was no longer with us. With extreme sadness and aching heart I returned here to post hoping that it was not our Patty. I would have dearly loved to have had the opportunity to meet her in person to taste her wines and see her tropical plants growing were they had no reason to exist. Impossible was not in her vocabulary when it came to Zone Bending. Her tales of rogue animals attacking her garden always brought a smile to my face. It seems so unfair that she will no longer brighten my day. My prayers are with the family and her friends. Goodbye Patty. Never forgotten! Dearly missed! |
Re: Patty in Wisc
This is from Patty's mom.
