A beautiful Autumn day in the "Forest city" of London today at 16°C...61°F.

Took this shot this morning of Kiwanis Park....the park I live beside. This is the view from my side living room window and it shows how the leaves are beginning to change color...

HAPPY THANKSGIVING LONG WEEKEND, CANADA!!! :bananas_b

Here leavs don't want to change their colours yet, maybe it is too early, I think we have to wait about 2 weeks for that.
From the other side we had frost in some regions, even I had about -1C last 2 nights. So I dug up my bananas yesterday.
Today's morning in Carpatian Mountains

We have a forecast for tonight that makes worry! It should go done to 5° C / 40 F!
Hey!!!! I'm in Greece, it's October and the sea still has 22° C / 70 F. Usually there should be pleasant and warm weather untill at least mid - end of October. This weather is about 4 - 6 weeks too early!

You tell me. 2 years ago the frosts came in the mid December (night frosts!!!), one year ago (the worst winter in years) they came in November. Now it seems that they might be here by the end of the October. Really? That's not a very good analogy. This way we will have a permafrost weather before I start my PhD. :(
We had ground frost (so no air frost) and very chilly temps the other day, tomorrow might be a good day to see how it affected tropical and subtropical bananas. ;)

Re: Weather forecast

My low last night was 4.8 ° C / 40 F - as forecasted.
The first inspection on the balcony was positive, but it could take some time to see damage on all the plants.
Finally the weather is fine and there'll be a lot of sun today, but again another cold night is waiting, but not as bad as last night. I'll have to get a little green house soon, which I can set up on the balcony as a shelter for the plants...

Actually the bad weather upon Italy came from Africa, that's why it's so warm.....
The first wave has just left Italy for eastern Europe but tomorrow another front will hit my country but temps will stay High , being an african perturbation too...

Fo r the momen we can't complain. :woohoonaner:

LOL, there has never been an African front in the Central or Eastern Europe. ;)
You mus have misheard. Whatever happens to it, I can't imagine that it would cross the Dinar mountains or Alps. :drum:

Cause my camera is without batteries, I took pix with the camcorder. But there's just no way of synching it with the computer and I can't remember how it's done. :) They will be here today. ;)

Re: Weather forecast

Average day high: 13-18°C, average night low: 3-9°C. Ground frosts are not common, but sometimes present. Judge for yourself, how it affects different varieties. I was surprised to see Comune di Sicilia hold almost as well as Pahari Kela, so I guess it's really an Orinoco variant. Shame that I don't have an Orinoco to compare. :)
OK, so here are the in medias res pix, fellas:
