But back to reality. Yes, I too watch northern Italy on daily basis (mainly the region Genoa-Torino-Milan, it's a point of interest to me ) and I was surprised not to see the daily temps go above 23°C in quite a while. And now consider, that Genoa is a humid mediterranean climate - that's something.
Wonderful land you have. I mean Italians, not you personally, in general.

Yup, it's really messy. And there are lots of infections and ilnesses in such areas. Anthrax appeared in the eastern Slovakia 2 weeks after the last floods there. Fortunatelly only several cows died and it was contained.

I might have opened my mouth prematurely. I came back from there just yesterday, everything was fine, when I was leaving.

Damn this weather.

Oh, well.... it may have been a marshland 2000 years ago, but.... no earthquakes, no flooding, no snow, no extreme weather and a good sea breeze.... who can ask for more ??? LOL

Yes , Italy is a goodplace to live ,but for many reasons I'd like to go elsewhere....
For the moment my top places to look at for expatriation purposes are:
Costarica
Philippines
Insonesia.

I can imagine yet my bananas plantation in such places.....

Anyway.....
I'm a red cross volunteer and as part of a rescue team we are in alert in case we are called from Pakistan to go help..... THAT'S A BIG FLOODING !

Let's hope things calms down a litte on this planet.....

More like 2500-2800 years. But I agree with the other part of your sentence. Nobody is the answer.

Btw.: Hail damage from the Czech republic... No comment needed.

My goodness!!! That are real bombs! We haven't got a hail for 2 last years! (It is weird!?)
By the way, yesterday evening we had so strong wind, I have never seen before! Fortunately my bananas have survived it well - almost no damage.

Jack, I'v seen in TV new floods in SK

With the summer skipping the middle phase it seems like we went straight to the autumn. Low temps, lots of rain, lots of winds,...
And my emmigration mood is back.

Here in Rome we are waiting for some refreshment.... Last week was 32-36 with hydration; From today a cooler wind should be blowing dropping our temperaures to 30ies and dry a little the air.
We are expecting the first drop of rain in 3 weeks next friday....

Long lasting summer here in Central Italy......

We had a high of 38 °C/100 F today, but also cooler weather is expected (below 30° C during the day). Humidity low was 24 % today, but now wind has started to blow a bit.
My nanners suffer a little during day and fold up the leafs, but get relief at night. Still very fast growth! My AeAe e.g. is pushing, better rushing out a new leaf and I meassured yesterday at 09.30 p.m. and just half an hour ago and the leaf grew by 10 cm in 19 hours!

How I would trade my 21C for those kinds of temps. You can have all the rain and wind too.

I could offer about 8 ° C of daily high in return for some rain?
Do we have a deal?

Just to figure out how we would do that. It's miserably here right now. Any centigrades would be appreciated.

No rain, but slightly "chilly" with 30°C as a high today... Yesterday it was 38° C.
Summer is over, autumn has just begun...
