Re: Going to Bananaland....
Just got really good news!!!
Tomorrow my company is sending me to Brazil for 16 days for an inspection to our hydro plants in Mato Grosso and Tocantin (somewhere in the rainforest). I'll spend 16 days between Rio De Janeiro and the jungle, so hopefully I'll be able to search for some local nanas to get back in Europe.... :woohoonaner: Anyone does remember what's the local name for the Dwarf Brazilian ? I know..... it's a hard work , but someone has to go there and spend some time in Copacabana for the better of the renewable energies worldwide !!!!:ha: |
Re: Going to Bananaland....
I belive its Prata Ana but some of US members should know better.
Hey dont forget to collect many tropical seeds, Brazil has beautifull palm collection. :nanadrink: |
Re: Going to Bananaland....
Will do!!
Is there any particular seed to collect in Copa Cabana ??? :ha: Bye bye!!! |
Re: Going to Bananaland....
I'm still searching for the D.B. and the other plants some pals from the forum requested but , here is simpler to find girls rather than plants or bulbs....:ha:
not that I'm complaining at all, but I can't get back to Italy empty handed.... |
Re: Going to Bananaland....
Did I ever mention seeds???
Oh yap, seed,.....,seed,seed,.....:ha: :nanadrink: |
Re: Going to Bananaland....
Well,if you arent already married, you could bring one home as well :ha:
Have you tried asking the locals and street/farmer's market fruit sellers maybe? They should know and if they are looking for a little economic boost, they may even get the plants for you :ha: ;) There are also backyard growers in certain houses of Rio(not the most accessible place though unfortunately) which may be growing Dwarf Brazilian or the other plants for home use. Good luck in your quest!!! I am sure you are enjoying it there :woohoonaner: |

Re: Going to Bananaland....
Hi there, just got back.
No way to bring back anything..... at the airport there was close inspection about anything vegetable/animal related in and out of the country.... I had some seeds from beautiful palms but I had to discard them ... sob |
Re: Going to Bananaland....
