Default remove flower bud from ensete?

My ensete maurellii, beautiful, huge and just 12 months in the ground,
, is flowering. Since that will lead to its death anyway, what happens if I cut it off early?

Yes enjoy it, if you cut off the bloom it will die anyway, there's no stopping that. You may have some seeds to trade, or to grow to replace the dead plant.

I was hoping to save the plant by early intervention or work some "hoodoo" on it. The bloom will press against the house and probably push it over even earlier than its natural death. Thanks for your response
