Just bought a Blue Java last week and I've got it in a container- its first leaf just unrolled but it's very yellow- Is this normal? We had rain and clouds all day yesterday- could it be for lack of sun? The leaf isn't wilted or anything- just yellowish- don't have any experience with bananas yet- anyone know what might be wrong?

garden soil isn't good. it's too compact for a pot, you need more open space for drainage like a soil less mix. Was it just potted up recently, or has it been growing like that for a while in this pot of garden soil? and what kind of fertilizer are you using?

In that soil vegetables are doing well... i added sand and turkey manure. At first it was doing well, and week or two ago it started looking like this. potted month or two ago, it exploded with growth when i potted it in this big pot.

Update on my IC- the leaf turned green just like the rest after about a week, just got another new leaf yesterday... still a bit yellow but not as bright as the first one- I'm sure it will turn greener in a day or 2.
