We have a Red Banana plant. It has been growing beautifully since we planted it. A few days ago, while watering the plant I noticed several holes in the leaves!! I live in Central Florida and it is currently Love Bug season. Are these insects eating my banana plant? Our Blue Banana shows no signs of insect damage. What is the best (safe) insecticide to use? Any help will be GREATLY appreciated!!

They tend to enjoy windshields and the front end of your car. Usaully a few holes in a leaf means a chewing insect has decided to do a taste test. The caterpiller or insect usaully moves on after a few bites. Pass on the insecticide unless it becomes a severe issue. Last edited by cincinnana : 05-10-2022 at 10:17 AM. |
