Hi all:
While things are cooling down here in Durham,NC, I just realized I will not have enough space for "overwintering" my banana plant collection in the garage. I have no basement, and my antique car is taking up half of the garage (1963 Mercury Monterey Breezeway, so it barely fits), plus I have a stash of parts form another parted-out same car, so if I can't find a way to store the plants in the garage, I will have to let them go starting with the less cold hardy that I have , 2 Dwarf Namwah Pearls. They are growing one in a 6" pot and another in a gallon pot. Both are putting new leaves at the moment. I can ship them "bareroot" with damp newspaper or with pot and all, but bear in mind how "finicky" these bananas are when shipping them bareroot vs. shipping them with pot and all "Priority Mail", so it's going to be your call. I am hearing offers or willing to trade for any of the following palms: 1. Oraniopsis appendiculata, "Bronze palm". 2. Dypsis decipiens, "Manambe palm". Please no seeds since Winter is coming and can't leave them outside. Can send photos or post them here. I am planning on taking them (with measuring tape since I don't know how specifically tall they are) between today(Thurs.) and Saturday, once I figure what I'm going to do. P.M. me if interested. Thanks, Carlos(tropicalkid in NC) Last edited by tropicalkid : 10-11-2007 at 11:54 AM. |
