Hey guys I’m wondering when to harvest these bananas. Pretty sure it’s a dwarf cavendish variety. None have turned yellow yet, but they have brown spots and some have split open. What do you think?

My tastes are usually more toward the letting them start to yellow on the rack, then cutting off just a hand at a time.
with a pruning sheers do a V cut one cut each side of hand and they come off complete pretty easily. top to bottom if thats not obvious. When I have excess racks ripening at the same time I just harvest the whole rack when the first hand is mostly yellow to save on time with harvests.

Is it common for a few of the bananas to split open? What causes that to happen?
