No, but will be the tallest of several Pups that will fruit next year.. When it hits 3' of stem I'll put it in a pot, as with follow-on pups.. I busted a small one off putting her in the ground but she has a peeker pup so its all good.. :^)

Cavendish 3 pups to see what they can do, since the mother fruited in a pot last fall.. They don't look as bad as the Dbl Mahio from the Haul up here.. :^)
![]() Depicted here is thee infamous orange handled shovel that died digging out the namwah corm, but lives again w/ a new digger, notice the ring in the middle of the handle; the handle lives on.. :^) |

Tall Orinoco plant I got in the mail from Abnshrek today ...
Its on the right in the green pot, and a mini-superdwarf Cavendish I got last year is in the black pot on the left. The plan is for it to replace the monster ice Cream 'nana that got snagged in the late winter cold snap ... (Winter can be a bit cooler up here, 30 minutes from DC ...) I also planted a white Mandavilla out back for summer, and a pair of black leaf elephant ears down by the pond. Last edited by thewebgal : 05-21-2014 at 03:20 PM. |

A pair of superdwarf mini cavendish, a starter tall Orinoco (on the far left, from abnshrek!)
thats just starting to grow and recover from the mailing (!). We've also got a dwarf Orinoco in a pot out back. The only new planting today was the new (unknown) BIG banana we bought at the nursery today - it was far too rootbound, so I put in the big pot our last monster grew in ... I planted new babies I just got from Florida. Not sure if I got what I ordered but they are nice little plants. Dwarf Brazilian, Red Iholena, Lady Finger, and Kandarian. I put the Sumatrana x Gran Nain and the blood banana I got last year in a big bucket. Sumatrana x is the larger plant. The jury is still out on those two. Nice little plants anyway. I also planted 4 pineapples.

Had to replace some tomato plants. The darn squirrels stripped of the first plants. Now I hope they will not get to the new plantings as we have build a fence around that vegetable bed...
