Looks like a really nice Orinoco bunch. Pretty good yield for that variety too.

Sorry about the gar picture. I went out bowfishing and brought me home some lunch. Caliboy nice to hear that it's a good bunch. I guess I am on the right track on keeping my plants healthy. I just lay down lots of mulch and compost and fertilize every month with some cheap 15-15-15. I'll keep that routine up.

He measured 4-8 and another one I caught the same day was 5-5. So it was a good day for me. Had a great lunch and will have a fish fry this weekend so I can fish some more!! My freezer is to the max right now. |

"What is considered a healthy plant?"
One that doesn't die, and lives long enough to bear fruit? |

The right growing zone, type/amount of fertilizer (without going overboard), good quality of soil, sufficient amount of water, lack of pests, etc. I think most types will grow healthy and well if it is not too cold, and with only a few of the factors I listed. Gabe (gabe15) is probably our best source of info.
