I just finished college for this year, and now I'm back home. My plants are really starting to get going!
Here is the Raja Puri that flowered last November. It's exploding with growth and pupping like crazy. I'm expecting at least two more blooms from this mat this year. ![]() ![]() Namwah is going great. Possibly a flower this year from the main stem. ![]() Here's a shot of one of the leaves, with my hand for size comparison: ![]() Mysore is still not doing so hot. I gave it a chance last year and its BSV symptoms never went away. I'm going to replace it with Pisang Klotek. ![]() ![]() ![]() I think I might finally get my first edible bunch this season, and hopefully lots of growth to go along with it!

Very nice Andreas!!!
![]() Yank that Mysore out and get a Palayamkodan,Pisang Ceylon(if i am not mistaken i think you do have that one?)as well as a Pisang Klotek. All those seem not to get BSV. I have had my Palayamkodan for a year now with no symptoms at all and my Pisang Ceylon for more than 1,5years,BSV free and well. I lost my Pisang Klotek to rot 2 winters ago unfortunately but it was a great plant when I had it and want to replace it! Happy growing! I wish you some nice bunches this year from your bananas!!! ![]()

I plan on getting Pisang Klotek or another Ceylon. My PC is up in Santa Clara and is still small, but growing very nicely.

Here is my 'Pisang Ceylon' as per Tony's request,a little less than 1year in the ground now
![]() ![]() And here is my 'Palayamkoddan',still potted and waiting for a spot in the ground but with nice colors and doing well despite the drought it faces from time to time! ![]() Andreas, I would remove that Mysore clump already, before you get a replacement. Its better that this spot remains empty for a while than removing it and planting the replacement right away. That way,if any carrier mealy bugs happen to be around, they die before a new banana is planted and the transmission risk is decreased or diminished after about a month i would guess due to their lifespan.
