Hi! Does anyone know if there is such a thing as a banana plant that has a pink pseudostem? I know that there are plants that have pink colored bananas grown from it. Never heard of a pink stem before. By the way I only ask b/c I LOVE pink!

Pink is a light form of RED. Yes there are some pstems that have a general pinkist color. The pstem just hasn'r darken up to red yet.

Hi. There is a reason I haven’t gotten back to you on this thread. You have always been very nice & helpful to me all along. However, I didn’t like your entire first reply to me on this thread. I found it to be offensive. I don’t like dirty jokes at all. I can appreciate you not only trying to help me find a pink colored banana plant but also being nice enough to reply! I honestly am not trying to “game” anybody or the forum all together. I had already erased my bio information long before I posted this thread. It’s b/c I have been considering for a while now deleting my account on this site. Yes I really do have 40 different varieties of banana plants in my yard here. Now they’re all in my house! I am literally running out of room! My home has turned into a jungle! I have half of my plants stored in an extra bedroom and now I can’t even move around in there! Where do you keep all your tropical plants you have over winter? Basement?

Now I’ve been meaning to tell you something as well. I’m sorry that I had accidentally caused you to believe that I was going to be giving you any free plants. When I wrote the comment on another thread I said oh yeah I probably should give you a plant for free I meant it as a joke!

Thanks for that great explanation! It totally makes sense! I can see how a red plant could look pink when young!

to be politically correct like Jerry Seinfeld....are you a person that gives something and then becomes dissatisfied and wish you had never uh...given it to the person that you originally gave it to?

You’re right I do have quite a few red banana plants! Who would’ve thought that I already have pink plants and didn’t even know it! I only asked about a pink one b/c I saw someone on this site had posted a picture of a small pink looking plant. I was dying to find out the name of that banana plant. The person who posted the picture didn’t have the name listed. So I then figured I would just post a new thread to find out what banana plant could possibly be pink! I really do love that color! Not kidding I’ve got a lot of pink everywhere in my house!

I figured you would be mad at me. It’s fine. Truly I feel bad about this. I only said that b/c I realized I had asked you about giving me one for free. As soon as I saw you got the wrong idea I instantly regretted it. I should have been more careful with my wording on here. When I wrote that I didn’t think you’d get the wrong impression. Again I apologize to you. Thank you though for all the other replies to my threads before this one.
