This just happened. All those white things are large marble sized hail. My gallery under Ice Cream show this plant yesterday.
This is the second hail storm in two days. The one yesterday was much less intense.

Happened to me last week, I knew that it was going to be a strong wind so I have put wheelbarrows near banana to protect her. The next morning wind blew so hard that it pushed wheelbarrows on the banana and smashed her leafes

Edi that sounds like something I would do.
The day before we had a storm come through with a lot of wind. I thought it might tear the leaves but they were just fine. The hail though beat them up. A couple were in the ping pong ball size and the rest in quarter size. Randy
