If I had all high or tall plants blooming I would surly loose plants to all this wind we have been having here in South Florida. Usually my Apples would be in bloom this time of the year but last year I got 3 blooms so I guess they are on a vacation .. BUT in these occasional high winds I am sure I would have lost them . I have had 4 storms in the last two weeks with high winds enough to topple over a 12 to 14 foot plant with fruit on them ! As it is now I have 2 Cavendish with fruit and 2 more that could bloom a little later in the year .. But these plants are lower and the houses protect them from these high wind gusts, Im just getting torn leafs. Just saying its nice to see Mother nature deposing all this rain here but Im glad she has not been able to blow over my fruit!

All my taller naners are shredded real bad. The Ae Ae is one ------------- but it has 5 hands showing so far.

Irregardless , it still has enough leaves with enough green in them to carry the bunch thru. Can't wait.

Trebor --- those freakin winds broke my SH3640 pstem with bunch attached --- lucky there was no damage or loss. I've had heavier bunches, but the SH must have been directly in the line of fire.

Wish you luck with your bunches too.

That's alot of rain! And thanks for the cameo of my island's left side

Our proximity to each other means that we've been having tons of rain for the last couple of days too. Went to dig up a sucker for a friend (who generously gave me some homegrown sugar cane and pumpkin today) and the soil was still very moist under all that mulch even though it hadn't rained since early this morning.

Also on the plus side, I haven't had to worry about watering the garden! Not that I do very much anyway lol
