I’m picking up a green AeAe next week. Does anyone have any experience with a Green AeAe? Is it worth getting green or should I be looking for a variegated pup. Is there a possibility I would get a variegated pup from a green AeAe?

Interesting... I was wondering this myself
I wonder if this also applies to the Variegated Florida, if it pups one day I'll grow the green pups separately and find out for myself

and an all green plant can sport a variegated plant. Know the linage of the plant before you acquire it. Make sure it is what it is. Now referring to the links posted in this thread. Color of leaves for many plants can be manipulated by environmental conditions and various fertilizer concentrations. Last edited by cincinnana : 08-10-2020 at 07:39 PM. |

I believe that the Ae Ae is a variant of the Maoli Maoli. The variegated type puts up both green and variegated pups.

This can happen if the nursery kept it in a shaded environment and it's not used to being out in full sun
