Default Dwarf Braz from Rmplmnz - Thanks Chris!

All I wanted was a Braz that wouldn't reach my roof!! My Talls were all in the 25' range...waaaay to high for my 'cozy tropical' feeling. Rmplmnz (Chris) was gracious enough to inform me when he was thinning his mats and to my suprise, he lives only about 15 miles from me! Super host!! Thanks for all. So on with the story
Chris gave me 3 pups for the mat...started with this:

1 tall has a batch beginning to show some signs of that yellow look...6 months later WOOHOO WOOHOO

3 new pups into pots = 2 Dwarf Brazs and 1 Dwarf Red

Removed a few tall Brazs for work...

Then.... The top 3 leaves are new

The root system on this little pup was 2x the size of the pup!

Dwarf Red also from Chris

Got this in the mail 2 weeks ago from Logees

3 new leaves so far with a spinner in the middle arriving.

Great pics! Thanks for sharing. That one pic of the sword sucker with the 3 new leaves is very.....swordey. I'm not used to seeing the leaves so narrow like that!

Hmmm Good call! Had to Google it
Rumplemintz is a very potent peppermint schnapps from Germany. It is also available in the USA and until recently, Northern Ireland. This drink was very popular in Belfast and was available in almost all bars. Sadly, it seems to vanished from the scene recently.

Thanks Banana lovers for the compliments. I attribute success to weather. Expecting 80f today. Wife told me I would probably leave her for a banana tree someday....so I guess 'love' helps them too

End of the year update for ya Chris:

That little pup is taking ahold of her territory quite nicely.

The fence in the back is only about 5' 6" tall.

Not expecting much with these freaking cold fronts rolling through.
Glad we're next to the ocean...hasn't dropped below 45 yet!
Shall be covering small pup for new years weather.
TTL Chris
Happy New Year of Bananas!!!
